The Offering
A comedy/music fusion pioneered by Tryf Da Comedian
“Symphunny” is a full-length album of pure comedy put to music: raw comedic storytelling with a soulful beat from a live band that is both contemporary and evocative of big band and theatrical soundscapes.
A tradition revived
Inspired by mid century black artists like Cab Calloway, famous for live performances combining song, dance, and jokes.
Live band, many genres
A modern twist combining elements of hip hop, R’n’B, rock, jazz, classic gospel, and funk.
“This style of comedy and music will elevate and change the way stand up will be performed — [it will] open minds and take viewers on a journey into jokes, fun, and laughter.”

About
Gregory Winston, aka Tryf Da Comedian
A Chicago native who has been living and working in Los Angeles since 1996, Tryf’s work is a fusion of edgy humor and soulful music with theatrical soundscape.
He made a name for himself in the comedy circuit by writing sketches and bits for A-list comedians in LA. As he established his career in entertainment writing for others, he began nurturing his own original content — teaching himself guitar and writing his own lyrics, as well as producing and writing music for all the other instruments associated with his songs.
In the past two years, Tryf has written and recorded two full comedy albums in addition to performing two live comedy specials.
